Custom Booking System and Online Payments For B&Bs

Having talked to the owners and managers of several Guest Houses in Bath, it appears there is some interest in having a website that offers on-line bookings.  At least, as long as it is affordable!

I've carried out some research and it is possible to buy in these services, but you tend to get stung by annual subscriptions.

As a consequence, I've decided to develop my own custom booking system and integrate it with a custom shopping cart and Paypal.  The benefit of my package is that, apart from the initial cost, there isn't any subscription fee and, more importantly, the fee Paypal takes is very low and, again, there are no set up fees or subscriptions for the Paypal service I have intergrated.

I have developed the code over the past 2 weeks and am now in the process of testing it - prior to release. It will be available as an option within the B&B website package.

From the persepective of the Guest House, it keeps eveything simple and in their control - and avoids additional subscription charges. 

It also makes it easy to manage multi-purpose rooms - that is, it avoids double booking when you have a room that is available under Single, Double, Twin etc...unlike Late Rooms, which does not seem to have taken this into consideration. It is also easy to apply different prices for different seasons, weekends and promotions.
